Just weeks after the NSW premier visited Griffith base hospital to announce $35 million upgrade to much fanfare, the NSW Government have gutted the hospital’s pathology services, in a secret decision made without staff or community consultation.
Griffith business chamber president Paul Pierotti joined calls for a community rebellion against an act of “blatant hypocrisy”, saying people should write to Adrian Piccoli, the NSW premier, the NSW Health minister and join the social media campaign.

Griffith community leaders have vowed to fight plans to strip the city's Base Hospital of histopathology services.
It comes after a social media campaign to "Save Griffith Base Hospital" erupted last week, with residents now planning a mass rally.
