WIN Griffith was originally MTN-9 Griffith and commenced transmission in 1965 in a purpose built studio housing the TV and Radio Station 2RG.  MTN -9 was to broadcast many locally produced programs such as Making Men for the PCYC, Meet Your Member, Romper Room, Cooking Better Electrically as well as covering all facets of local sport and news. Over time The Broadcast Centre became a media hub for an operation that continued to grow. During the late 90’s with the advent of digital television just around the corner and the expense of retooling not commercially viable, MTN9 was sold in 1998 to the WIN Network- the largest regional TV network in Australia.  WIN Griffith now carried the full suite of digital signals. WIN 10, GOLD TENONE and 11, WIN9, GO and GEM and WIN7 7Mate and 7TWO.
