As a strong regional capital Griffith is proactive in promoting economic productivity, creating jobs and achieving positive social outcomes across the region.

Manufacturing is the largest employer in Griffith, making up 19.2% of total employment. Key industries are supported by sound transport infrastructure, and a diverse skills base drawn from a population that has grown, counter to trend for regional communities.
Griffith has a culturally diverse population, and this is reflected in an energetic retail and service sector. With a range of choices in education including University pathways, and a cosmopolitan lifestyle underpinned by a vibrant arts, fine dining and boutique shopping, Griffith is an attractive place in which to live.

WIN Griffith was originally MTN-9 Griffith and commenced transmission in 1965 in a purpose built studio housing the TV and Radio Station 2RG.  MTN -9 was to broadcast many locally produced programs such as Making Men for the PCYC, Meet Your Member, Romper Room, Cooking Better Electrically as well as covering all facets of local sport and news. Over time The Broadcast Centre became a media hub for an operation that continued to grow. During the late 90’s with the advent of digital television just around the corner and the expense of retooling not commercially viable, MTN9 was sold in 1998 to the WIN Network- the largest regional TV network in Australia.  WIN Griffith now carried the full suite of digital signals. WIN 10, GOLD TENONE and 11, WIN9, GO and GEM and WIN7 7Mate and 7TWO.

Today WIN Griffith proudly broadcasts to over 69,000 viewers with the best in sporting, current affairs, comedy and entertainment from every FREE TV channel! In addition WIN Griffith boasts an ongoing unmatched community service promotional program that provides access for non for profit community organisations and charities the opportunity to promote right throughout the viewing area!

For their clients WIN Griffith through its solus market status can offer access to every single viewer of commercial television in the area- any wonder WIN Griffith is feted as the most cost effective promotional medium available….WIN Works!

WIN TV will also provide a $1000 voucher to the winner of the Local Business Person of the Year Award as well as a $500 voucher to each winner of the NSWBC Aligned Categories. THANK YOU!

At the BEC Enterprise Centre – we are about three things;

  1. You
  2. Your business
  3. Our business community.

BEC, or Business Enterprise Centre, started up in the 1980’s. We are subsidised by both the Federal and State Governments because they know we can really help businesses succeed; from start-ups to expansion, online growth and strategic direction, navigating the NDIS, through to succession planning. We also have regular events and workshops with great tips and advice.

We have business advisors that give one-on-one advice with the first four hours free. After that, it’s just $25 an hour as we are not-for-profit, BEC Business Advice wants businesses to succeed and when we do that, the economy improves, and Governments are happy. Win Win!

Whether you’re thinking about starting up a business or already operating one, you’ve probably thought once or twice, “Now, how am I gonna do that?”

That moment is where we come in. Business isn’t easy, but it’s been done before. Knowing where to find info on the tools, skills and support you need to make it a bit easier can be the key to your success.

To find out more, go to our website www.becadvice.com.au or book an appointment with a great business advisor by googling Business Connect with the Department of Industry. We really can help!
